The wool used for the organic line is organic in all processes:
Phase 1:
The product is KBT certified which means that the well-being of the sheep is assured. The grass they eat is organic and the process of sheering the wool is controlled.
Phase 2:
The product is IVN certified, meaning that the wool is processed without any use of chemicals both in the spinning process as in washing and dyeing processes. When this dyeing method is used there is a guaranty that no dye or chemicals that can be damaging for human or for the environment have been used.
Phase 3:
The finishing of the wool that makes the garment washable in 30 degrees C is a newly invented method. This is a new alternative to the "Superwash" concept that does require chlorine. No chemicals or substitutes are used in the finishing of the product.
The products are therefore ultimately organic.
